Interim Head of Compliance - Hedge Fund
Lawson Chase were approached by the General Counsel of an international hedge fund (AUM £5 billion) who had an urgent need to appoint an experienced Head of Compliance for an initial 6 month term. With the prior incumbent already departed and the client´s expectation that this appointment must have had extensive experience working in both the CF10 and CF11 approved person functions previously, the strength of Lawson Chase´s network of senior interim executives was put to the test. Within three business days we had delivered our short list of suitable candidates and an immediately available, seasoned compliance leader was in role the following week.

Staffing An Entire Compliance Team
One of Lawson Chase´s most valued banking clients mandated us to recruit an entirely new Compliance Monitoring team. The challenge was to source and secure a Head of Fund Administration Compliance Monitoring, a Head of Custody & Depositary Compliance Monitoring and two further compliance monitoring and assurance candidates. We were successful in appointing the entire team and were able to source experienced candidates who had experience in greenfield project and change orientated roles.

Head of Investment Risk & Performance
Lawson Chase was approached by the Asset Management arm of a leading Swiss private banking group to assist with the appointment of a newly created Head of Investment Risk & Performance position. The role had been open for over six months and various agencies across the City had failed to introduce suitable candidates. Using our vast network of Head of Investment Risk profiles, we worked with the client to fully map out all their available options across the UK. Through meetings with both the Chief Risk Officer and Human Resources we were able to short list the candidates we felt were most likely to be able to take this significant role forward & successfully delivered a headhunted candidate with over a decade of relevant experience.

Head of Business Intelligence, Head of Operations & Head of Business Development
Over the past few years, we have developed a strong reputation for our work within the Risk & Forensics markets. A leading Management Consultancy in the niche Political Risk, Business Intelligence and Investigations sector were looking to significantly restructure their senior leadership team in the face of widespread change within their industry. Lawson Chase were appointed exclusively to secure a Head of Business Intelligence (40 headcount), a Head of Operations and a Head of Business Development for a newly created sales division. We successfully headhunted and placed candidates from a Big 4 house and two other main competitors.

Head of Compliance, Audit, Risk and Resilience
Lawson Chase were asked to support a Temp-To-Perm appointment at a senior level for a leading Property and Investment Management business in Central London. The role had been open for more than half a year and no recruitment firm had been able to source suitable candidates. We worked closely with the General Counsel to define the parameters of the search which included the need for all candidates to have prior experience in approved person CF10 and CF11 roles previously. Within two weeks we had successfully placed an outstanding governance executive who has now transitioned to a permanent role as Head of Compliance, Audit, Risk and Resilience.
