Job Description

We are currently working closely with a Swiss-based asset management firm who are looking to appoint a VP, Marketing and Communications Manager. This role can be based in either Zug, Switzerland or London, UK.


The Role

As a Communications Manager for our various investment strategies (Private Equity, Private Credit,  Clean Energy Infrastructure and Energy Infrastructure Credit), the role will execute on a comprehensive suite of external and internal communications tasks within the framework of the firm’s global communications and branding strategy. The Communications Manager will play an important role to drive and execute on communication projects and deliverables in an entrepreneurial environment.


Key Responsibilities

You will work closely with the Head of Marketing & Communications, your team colleagues and the external PR agencies to execute on the company’s global communications strategy as follows:


  • Work closely with the Marketing & Communications colleagues to execute on the overall brand concept, positioning and promotion of key messaging

  • Manage and oversee the correct implementation of corporate design standards; work closely with the product marketing team and global advertising agencies

  • Be responsible for proactive and reactive media handling, generation of media opportunities, compilation and distribution of press releases, coordination of interviews, placed articles and any other communications related tasks

  • Ensure regular media training is held globally for spokespersons; hold media trainings

  • Organize media round tables and media events; collaborate with the global event manager on conferences, annual investor meetings, other client events

  • Execute the internal communications agenda and strategy including ghostwriting communication for executives and regular company-wide communication as well as managing the intranet

  • Manage the company’s website and other online presences (LinkedIn, Glass Door, trade bodies platforms etc.)

  • Support the continuous expansion of the company’s charity program


Skills & Experience

  • Extensive working knowledge in a similar marketing & communications role either within the asset management/finance sector or on agency-side for clients in this industry

  • Outstanding skills to create and oversee the creation of branded marketing and communications materials and tools with MS office tools and Adobe Indesign

  • Outstanding ability to write content as well as edit material with the highest degree of precision and with the ability to tailor to specific audience    

  • Excellent communication skills to interact with senior internal stakeholders, the media, clients and third parties such as advertising, PR agencies and other service providers


  • Firm level of technical financial knowledge and analytical ability

  • Strong interest and solid experience in Private Equity, Private Credit, Clean Energy Infrastructure, Energy Infrastructure Credit and/or Real Estate

  • A hands on and process-oriented approach to tasks

  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to proof own work and work of others

  • A self-starter with a results focused mind-set and a team player

  • Willingness to work in a performance-driven environment and comfortable with minimal supervision


Languages Skills

Essential: Must be fluent in English and display superior writing skills

Desirable: German, French, Italian, Korean, Japanese


Additional Information

Occasional travel on a global basis (approximately 20%)
