Our client is seeking a Senior Content Specialist to join the Global Content Team within our Global Marketing and Communications (“GMAC”) group. As Senior Content Specialist, you will partner with GMAC’s Client Experience team to serve as the conduit to Global Content and lead the development of compelling, consistent and clear product messaging with an unyielding desire to ensure clients’ needs are met with timely, relevant, and impactful information.  

The Senior Content Specialist will coordinate a variety of marketing resources to ensure our distribution partners have both the knowledge and tools required to articulate our investment offering.  Collaboration across subject matter experts in our Product, Product Specialist and Affiliates is key in developing concepts, overseeing the writing, proofreading, and editing marketing materials for internal and external audiences across a broad range of initiatives and programs.


Key Responsibilities

  • Understand, refine and clearly articulate the needs of our Client Experience and Sales teams in their efforts to drive engagement, adoption and growth for those products sold within our U.K. and European markets to the broader Global Content team

  • Manage the production cycle of high-quality standard product materials and ensure delivery in accordance the requirements of International Distribution. Materials include: pitch books, bespoke presentations, sales aids, fact sheets, product web pages, and promotional content for product campaigns and webcasts.

  • Work with Client Experience, Product/Product Specialists and our Affiliates to build/source relevant product and thought leadership content for various International client audiences and in variety of differing mediums

  • Partner with investment writers to translate sophisticated investment concepts from the company’s nine affiliated investment managers into concise, compelling copy focused on solving the challenges of the company’s intermediary and quasi-institutional clients

  • Leverage key thought leadership and research generated by our nine affiliated investment managers to bring timely insights in support of the key sales initiatives

  • Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with internal partners (marketing colleagues, product, product specialists, affiliated investment managers, and sales) to achieve collective objectives

  • Collaborate with Client Experience team to develop content to enhance marketing collateral in support of sales efforts

  • Works alongside product and Client Experience to identify issues and opportunities and engage other areas of the organisation to ensure strategic alignment and clarity of message

  • Ensure consistency in the company’s voice, key messages and editorial style across materials developed

  • Enforce superior quality control to ensure the accuracy of all content as well as consistency with nine affiliated managers

  • Ensure content meets all compliance and legal requirements

  • Update and communicate editorial calendar to all relevant colleagues, notably UK/Europe Client Experience, Global Marketing and Communication, and sales organisation

  • Share learnings with marketing, sales and product colleagues; apply to the development of future initiatives

  • Continuously seek to rationalise existing content and collateral based on usage metrics, sales feedback and assessment of relevance


Skills & Experience

  • Five or more years of investment product marketing experience within an asset management organization

  • Confident self-starter with proven leadership experience and ability to work in a matrixed organization

  • Strong written and oral communication and interpersonal relationship skills

  • Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment

  • Experienced writer in financial services and products, capital markets and economic trends

  • Listens actively; recognizes and reinforces good ideas

  • Thinks creatively and strategically first, then thinks tactically

  • Highly organized

  • Builds relationships through effective collaboration

  • Strong attention to detail and demonstrated ability to meet deadlines

  • Comfortable with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel

Experience & Qualifications

  • Demonstrated success in the development of multi-faceted, comprehensive product marketing campaigns in asset management

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, MBA or equivalent desirable

  • Around 7+ years financial services marketing experience, preferably in asset management
