Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Working with off-the-shelf and proprietary data collection, analysis, eDiscovery and reporting tools.

  • Providing assistance in organizing and managing documentation, evidence items, and other software/hardware inventory.

  • Ongoing analysis of industry technology trends to incorporate proven forensic investigation and supporting technologies into practice.

  • Perform detailed analysis and subsequent reporting of findings.

  • Demonstrate creativity and efficient use of relevant software tools and analytical methods to develop solutions.

  • Audit own work product and work product of others to assure quality.

  • Participate in a team environment and work hard to meet client deadlines and quality expectations.

  • Assistance in the development of white-papers, published reports, and articles relevant to practice offerings.

  • Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Participate in group practice meetings and travel (approximately 30%) as needed.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in the areas of computer science, computer forensics, Management Information Systems or relevant coursework.

  • 1-3 years of work experience in computer forensics, information systems, or other relevant experience.

  • Strong proficiency in the use of forensic acquisition and analysis tools such as EnCase, FTK, XWays and other forensic tools.

  • A strong understanding of Windows/Mac based systems including installing, troubleshooting, and networking. Linux/Unix experience a plus. 

  • Demonstrable subject matter experience with Email/File servers and archiving environments, such as interpretation of server logs, MS Exchange, Lotus Notes, eVault, etc.

  • Industry certifications considered valuable to this position include: EnCE / CCE / ACE / CFE / etc.

  • Ability to distill complicated concepts into key points of understanding.

  • Experience presenting to a wide range of audiences is preferred.

  • Capability with MS Excel and relational database programs (e.g. MS SQL Server and MS Access), as well as experience with SQL and other scripting/querying capabilities

  • Prior experience with indexing (NUIX, etc.) and/or hosted review platforms (Relativity, etc.)
