Job Description

This position, which reports to the Senior Intelligence Advisor, is responsible for contributing to the development and production of intelligence-driven decision support products that identify risk, uncover opportunity, and maximize commercial value for the business. The candidate will work as part of a global team and support both tactical and strategic intelligence operations, as directed. This is a cross-functional role that partners closely with numerous business units across the enterprise.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing relationships with leadership and key stakeholders across Europe and across functions to identify intelligence requirements and deliver findings.

  • Develop intelligence products from start to finish to provide tailored, timely, and trusted intelligence reports and assessments to meet customer requirements.

  • Develop tailored collection strategies for new projects involving a dynamic set of collection mechanisms, and drawing on open source, public record and human source.

  • Conduct extensive open source intelligence collection utilizing a wide range of intelligence tools and social media. Identify and exploit global sources of information including databases, local and foreign-language media and academic journals, internet sources, and public records.

  • Support the management and direction of an external network of intelligence providers; identify and vet new intelligence providers to support emerging strategic goals of the company.

  • Regularly draft informative and succinct reports detailing intelligence findings and analysis. Orally briefs intelligence findings to leadership and key stakeholders. When applicable, synthesize data into graphic analyses to assist with the presentation of complex issues.

  • Possess and maintain the necessary skills and qualifications to provide expert advice on intelligence-related programs, regulations, industry standards, risk assessments, and related issues or questions that may arise.

 

Skills & Experience

  • BA in any relevant field; advanced degree is preferred.

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in a relevant field, including at least 1-2 years’ experience in business intelligence.

  • In addition to English, two European languages.

  • Experienced in the use of public records in multiple jurisdictions.

  • Advanced proficiency in, or the aptitude and willingness to rapidly learn, commercial

  • databases, web-based social media platforms, search tools, productivity applications, and communication technology.

  • Experience briefing intelligence findings to senior decision-makers.

  • Understanding of the role intelligence plays in guiding strategic decision-making.

  • Proven ability to work with highly confidential information.

  • Demonstrated ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously and function in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

  • Someone who has a high degree of emotional intelligence and maturity is a must.

  • A life-long learner; someone who is dedicated to developing as an intelligence professional is also a must.

  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (to include building infographics) is a plus.
