About The Role

The Client Group has a presence in the Americas, Europe, Asia and Australia, and is composed of five main areas:

  • Marketing promotes the firm and its services by creating, packaging and distributing content and messaging to engage diverse audiences through digital platforms and initiatives, strategic campaigns, and events

  • Business Transformation looks to evolve and scale the business, leveraging digital and data, to drive top-line growth and improve profitability


The firm’s Request for Proposal team is in search of an RFP Associate to contribute to business development and client service efforts globally through the implementation and maintenance of infrastructure, project management and production, and reporting.

This position will provide an opportunity to develop knowledge in the entire new business development process: from the initial screening of an RFP, to the organization and project management of an RFP, to the actual content creation and updating of RFP language, to the production of an RFP and then, finally, to the follow-up and tracking of RFPs. This position offers an introduction to asset management and the importance of the RFP in sales. We expect within 24 months the RFP Associate would have an opportunity to move into an RFP writer role.

The position reports directly to the RFP manager supporting the Institutional, and Retail sales advisors and associates globally. In addition, the RFP associate would work in conjunction with the Senior RFP Writers to help maintain the content management system. This position is located in othe firm’s Nashville, TN office.


Key Responsibilities

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Maintain the infrastructure of standard Exhibits, Policies, tables, and other materials regularly used in RFPs.

  • Write and maintain biographies for senior management, investment and sales professionals.

  • Maintain select firm-level language in the content management database, including the quarterly updating of certain qualitative answers and managing the review and updating of other content as requested.

  • Liaise with various departments throughout the firm to collect information needed to respond to requests, including but not limited to Legal, Compliance, Operations, Portfolio Management, Product Management/Marketing, AUM Reporting, and Performance Reporting.

  • Manage the production of RFPs and due diligence questionnaires (DDQs) – includes upload of on-line RFPs and DDQs to databases, formatting and assembling of documents both electronically and hardcopy for submission to the prospective client.

  • Assist in the updating of qualitative section of Consultant databases on an annual basis.

  • Support RFP Management through regular reporting as well as ad hoc requests – includes updating and distribution of RFP tracking reports and updating Sample RFPs annually.

  • Respond to ad hoc internal requests for “standard” RFP language

  • Assist in the maintenance of internal website content

  • Initial training will be both classroom-based and on-the-job, focusing on the skills needed to be successful within the RFP Associate role.

  • Continuing education will be designed to enhance job performance and improve knowledge of broad market issues, the RFP and Sales Process, industry and economic trends, as well as enhanced knowledge of services.


Skills & Experience

The ideal candidate should have:

  • Detail-oriented with excellent project management and organizational skills; able to prioritize work and handle multiple tasks to ensure that complex projects are completed by deadline, with interim review steps incorporated.

  • Able to navigate across multiple sources of information including websites, systems, contacts and make connections to apply the information appropriately.

  • Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team in a large global organization.

  • Highly motivated self-starter.

  • A desire to learn all of the technical aspects of the firm.

  • Demonstrated initiative and good judgment as well as the ability to work well under pressure and with time constraints.

  • Interest in and ability to interact directly and effectively with Sales Advisors, Portfolio Managers and other investment professionals.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Word, and possess the ability to quickly master internal systems and applications.

  • College education required. This is an entry-level position.
