The Role

The company is seeking a Product Marketer/Product Specialist to position the company’s capabilities in fixed- income strategies. Here, you will research competitive trends in fixed-income strategies and drive marketing initiatives related to those strategies, ensuring there is a clear and compelling marketing message, including investment process, portfolio positioning and rationale for each covered portfolio. You will collaborate with other Global Marketing and Communications (GMAC) colleagues and act as a liaison on asset class specific matters between affiliate’s marketing organisations and GMAC’s US and International Editors. You will liaise with Product Specialists, Compliance, and other departments to help with content and address potential issues. Must be able to think outside the box about marketing complex strategies and act nimbly, adjusting as business needs evolve.

The Global Fixed Income Product Marketer acts as the central marketing authority for relevant strategies and has a strong understanding of the markets relating to their respective strategies. The Product Marketer must be perceived as a credible source of investment-related information pertaining to their covered strategies and must have a thorough understanding of all content available globally to promote the respective strategies.

Reporting to the Global Head of Content, you will primarily interact with the firm’s US and International Distribution product specialist organisations, the investment affiliate’s marketing and product specialist teams, and GMAC’s regional client experience and editorial teams.


Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Editorial teams in the regions and Client Experience to manage all aspects of go-to-market planning and implementation for the global fixed income products distributed through Global Distribution.

  • Develop and refine the marketing strategy, positioning, content development and measure the impact of marketing strategy.

  • Ensure global marketing content for relevant strategies is consistent with core messaging

  • Obtain intimate knowledge of the investment philosophy and process of each strategy supported – including a detailed understanding of current investment themes within the portfolio, knowledge of portfolio holdings, risk attributes of the strategy, past and current positioning of the portfolio, near-term outlook for the strategy, and performance attribution

  • Collaborate with Editors and Writers and play the lead role in creating and reviewing relevant Marketing collateral, landing pages, social media, and emails concerning Fixed Income strategies

  • Liaise with product specialists and affiliates to ensure data and responses regarding a given product are accurate and appropriate

  • Proofread and conduct quality assurance of electronic and print materials

  • Execute other projects and special marketing assignments, as necessary


Skills & Experience

  • Demonstrated success in the development of multi-faceted, comprehensive product strategy or marketing campaigns in asset management

  • 10+ years’ experience in asset management, preferably in product specialist or product marketing roles

  • Global asset management experience desired

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience; CFA and/or Master’s Degree desirable
