They have specialised in managing client portfolios for over 40 years and their investment team and financial planners are supported by more than 550 staff, working from 8 offices across the UK.

 

About The Role

This is an entry level role role intended to provide support to both the Capital and Client Distributions Team and represents an entry level opportunity within the company’s London based Operations department of a growing asset management business.

 The Capital Team is primarily responsible for the completion of daily external cash reconciliations and periodic stock reconciliations. Other responsibilities include cash management functions, the processing of various cash transactions and the accurate updating of client records to reflect these transactions.

 The Client Distributions Team is primarily responsible for dividend and corporate action processing across the various business areas of the asset management division. 

 Both teams provide primary support to CBAM’s DMS Bespoke clients whilst working closely with Bespoke Investment Managers, Investment Operations and other Operational and Client Service Teams located around the country.

 Other teams within the Department cover client data maintenance, asset transfers, settlements processing, client fee calculation and client reporting.

 

Key Responsibilities

Capital Team

  • Postal duties including the opening, sorting and distribution of post
  • Monitoring and resolution of client overdrafts
  • Collection of Unit Trust Manager Holding Statements
  • Regular chasing of outstanding Unit Trust Holding Statements
  • Monitoring and updating client records to reflect investment inflows
  • Providing general support and cover to the team

 

Client Distributions

  • Implementation and ongoing support of CBAM’s Proxy Voting policy
  • Completion of dividend mandate forms
  • Assisting in the production of probate valuations
  • Analysis, collation and distribution of disclosure data
  • Providing general support and cover to the team

Technical Requirements

  • Good all round securities knowledge
  • Competent in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Previous exposure to Pulse Software would be beneficial
