Job Description

Seeking: Operations Analyst to join a London based investment management firm.

You will be responsible for analysing, designing, modifying and developing technology solutions in support of front, middle and back-office functions. The role will implement new systems by recommending technology solutions, configuring and implementing new platforms, and expanding existing platforms in new ways to achieve enhanced processing efficiencies.

 

The Firm currently uses Bloomberg as the engine to report transactions as part of the MIFID II and EMIR regulations. You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of the reports to the regulator, client and trade repository, monitoring the system each day and promptly resolving any issues.

The role will be responsible for working with the broader investment compliance team, ensuring fund guidelines are being monitored on a pre- and post-trade basis, watch lists and policies are updated and rules are programmed correctly.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintenance of the monthly reporting system, ensuring factsheets are delivered to clients and external providers in a timely and accurate manner. The candidate will need to identify and implement efficiency improvements to the system and have sufficient technical expertise and background to make recommendations.

  • Produce analytical tools and dashboards, ad-hoc reports and presentations.

  • Maintenance and enhancement of systems, including updating the Firm’s portfolio liquidity model.

  • Be responsive to ad-hoc queries generated from internal and client requests

  • Ensure accurate delivery of fixed income performance attribution and work with external providers and back-office to ensure a high quality of data is feeding the performance and attribution systems.

 

Skills & Experience

  • Highly numerate with a good attention to detail.

  • Good understanding of Excel, VBA, Bloomberg.

  • Good Academic background.

  • Experience within fixed income an advantage.
