We are currently recruiting on behalf of a New York based asset management firm, who are looking to hire a Marketing Manager.
The Marketing Manager Americas role is based in New York and is part of the Global Marketing team. This position reports to the Head of Marketing who is based in Zurich, Switzerland. The Marketing Manager Americas will work in close collaboration with the sales teams from North America’s Institutional and Partnership channels as well as head of sales for Latin America (Latam). In conjunction with the Group Marketing team, this role will support the brand recognition efforts in the Americas as well as develop and implement the Americas regional marketing strategy across all client segments.
Provide strategic direction and marketing leadership to the institutional and sub advisory for North America and Latam sales teams by developing a deep understanding of client segments and the needs of the sales teams. Develop a yearly integrated marketing plan to deliver against North America and Latam business requirements and further develop the asset management customer experience over all touch points (focus digital channels).
Develop a working knowledge of the investment products and solutions that are available within the region. Build strong relationships with global marketing team, client servicing, investment communications and relationship managers (sales) with goal of becoming a true partner to the sales organization and an integral part of all distribution initiatives.
Lead and project manage regional marketing initiatives, partnering effectively with the Global Marketing team, investment communications, event program management and other shared service teams. These initiatives include digital and print advertising, collateral, web, conferences, client events, sponsorships, direct marketing (email/social), thought leadership plans, video production and any other major sales programs.
Be hands-on throughout the planning and execution process and have the ability to multi-task across several marketing projects. Manage the marketing budget for Americas, tracking budget to actual throughout the year.
Measure and report on the success of marketing initiatives with objective to provide marketing intelligence and suggestions for improving effectiveness of marketing programs.
Skills & Experience
University degree in business, marketing or communication combined with understanding of the financial services, knowledge of the investment product sales processes, good understanding of institutional and wholesale client requirements are preferred
10+ years of experience in marketing and communication - preferably with an global Asset Management firm
High affinity to digital marketing disciplines, tools and data analytics
Entrepreneurial mind set, rationale problem solver with a hands on mentality - high customer and service orientation
Working self-sufficiently, ability to effectively communicate with multiple internal and external stakeholders - team work spirit required
Spanish speaking is a plus
