Marketing and Communications Manager sought to join the offices of a London based asset management firm.
The Marketing and Communications Manager will develop and execute marketing and communications efforts for the Europe, Middle East, Africa (EMEA) region, including PR and media relations, conferences, events, and content to support investor relations and fundraising. He/she will develop opportunities to raise awareness and profile of the company through media relationships and executive speaking opportunities; will organize and oversee Company-hosted events for EMEA clients and prospects; and will support the efforts of the company’s investor relations (IR) team with marketing collateral and content, including presentations and requests for proposals (RFPs). The Marketing and Communications Manager will ensure that EMEA marketing and communications efforts are aligned with the global marketing and communications strategies and with the firm’s key priorities. Specific responsibilities include communication strategy, project planning, project management, writing, editing, and production, as well as working with external vendors and contacts.
This individual will be based in London and a member of the global marketing team, which is based primarily in Boston. This team manages marketing and communications activities for the company’s private markets products and solutions. The Marketing and Communications Manager will work closely with local marketing team members, EMEA investor relations team, and Boston-based marketing team members. This role will also coordinate with the company’s Asia-based marketing and IR team and the HVPE team (a listed investment company for which the company serves as the investment manager) to ensure collaboration messaging. This role will manage one to two direct reports.
Skills & Experience
8-10 years experience in marketing and communications roles with specific experience in communications, PR/media relations, marketing content development, and/or events. Experience showing increasing levels of responsibility and leadership, including management of a team. Asset management, financial services, or private equity experience required.
Additional skills should include Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), writing, editing, proofreading, and vendor management.
