Job Description

We are looking to hear from forensic services professionals for a London based role with a leading consultancy.


With a distinctive range of expertise and extensive links to the legal profession, we provide forensic services across numerous disciplines for both corporate and private clients. Our partners are acknowledged leaders in their own fields and combine this expertise with an understanding of the legal process and experience of acting as Expert Witnesses.

Our team offers forensic accounting and forensic technology services on a wide range of contentious matters including dispute resolution, matrimonial disputes, valuations, fraud and bribery investigations, personal injury and insurance claims, both in the UK and internationally.


Key Responsibilities

Managing forensic assignments – expert witness and financial investigations

  • Carrying out and managing more junior staff on the following:

    • Analysis of accounts and financial data

    • Research

    • Investigation interviews

    • Financial modelling

    • Report writing

    • Liaising with clients and chasing information

  • Managing client engagements including client set up and control of lock up


Business Development

  • BD concentrated on developing a competition practice

    • Identifying targets

    • Development of marketing material

    • Networking with lawyers and regulators

    • Relationship management

    • Attending marketing events


Key Competencies

  • Analytical thinking: at the core of all forensic assignments – must be able to identify key issues in a case and anticipate counter-arguments

  • Detail oriented: ability to look at a large quantity of financial and non-financial information and identify inconsistencies.

  • Written communication: our work product is typically a written report – these have to be of the highest standards – not only does the content need to be technically correct but it has to be presented clearly

  • Commercial awareness: all forensic assignments require commercial awareness as they are all about commercial issues

  • Teamwork: The FS team is diverse with different technical skills – teamwork is essential to this role


Skills & Experience

  • ACA qualified or equivalent

  • Demonstrable experience of working in a forensic accounting practice

  • A variety of demonstrable forensic experience, including expert witness, with experience of  matrimonial disputes and/or contentious valuations desirable

  • The analytical skills required for forensic assignments

  • Investigative interviewing

  • Report writing and presentation skills

  • Assignment and client management skills
