Job Description

We are looking to hear from an experienced Management Account for a new role with a  leading provider of big data risk intelligence solutions. This role can be based out of their London or Bristol offices.

About The Company

Our client is a fast growing UK and US-based company, providing big data reputational risk intelligence solutions to large global companies and institutions. The firm is a leader in the reputational risk management/intelligence big data space.

Corporate reputation and trust are a company's most important assets and must be handled carefully. That is especially true today, as corporate leaders operate in a tumultuous global business environment, face an increasingly demanding set of well-informed stakeholders, and grapple with the latest stage of the digital revolution.

The company’s business model and products are based on enabling reputation risk executives in the world's largest companies to make better and more informed decisions. The company’s products transform corporate reputation from the domain of subjective reports and intangible assets, reliant on expensive consulting, into actionable intelligence that empowers and liberates reputation risk executives from point-in-time, lagging indicators of performance, giving them the same speed and confidence in decision making as colleagues using structured business intelligence systems.

The firm employs a team of passionate professionals focused on creating exceptional solutions and experiences for customers. Equally, they have a focus on creating an environment of trust and collaboration that is a fun, flexible and supportive place for the team to thrive, grow and succeed. Successful team members have high levels of passion and personal accountability.

About The Role

this is a full-time Chartered Management Accountant role.  The Finance function is a relatively small team (3 people at present). This new role is designed to implement new and to take on a number of existing essential duties in supporting the Company's financial and business strategies and other Finance team initiatives.

As Management Accountant, you will prepare, develop and analyse financial information so that the Company's management team and Board can make well-informed decisions, leading to future stability, predictability, growth and profitability.

You will establish and maintain financial policies and management information systems, as well as provide a high-quality support service by liaising with management colleagues on all aspects of finance.

The role combines accounting skills with business management skills.  You will be responsible for a range of business partnering, financial reporting and management accounting outcomes.

The Management Accountant will create and foster a close working relationship with the CFO and Finance Manager, as well as building strong relationships with the Product, Services and Sales & Marketing teams, acting as a link between the Product & Services roadmap, Sales & Marketing forecast and revenue & cost reporting.   This role will also work closely with divisional owners, some of whom are based in differing office locations/countries.  Being part of a small, fast-growth organisation, you will also have the chance to contribute to forming executive reporting and accounting practices and establish new month end routines.

You will enjoy working within a small, versatile organisation and will be comfortable in an accounting capacity for parts of the month end process, as well eager to contribute to, and take responsibility for, broader financial/investment/support projects.

As Management Accountant, you will enjoy working effectively with others, and use your communication skills to provide, as well as receive, required information and data from relevant stakeholders within the organisation. You will take a proactive and methodical approach to work, have experience in providing finance support to multiple people/projects in tandem, and manage against both expectations and timelines effectively.  Experience within a fast growth start-up/scale-up operation would be a plus.
