Our client, a London based asset management firm, is looking to appoint a marketing professional.


About The Role

This is an exciting opportunity, reporting into the Head of Channel Support, to be responsible for the creation of innovative marketing plans to support the firm’s investment products and services.

You will be able to offer your own innovative ideas and use your creativity to plan and deliver campaigns and content to the intermediary and direct client markets. You will work closely with the business development team and investment managers to set objectives and design appropriate strategies to meet the firms needs, whilst managing the relationship with key suppliers and platforms, providing data or other information when requested.

You will be an integral member of the marketing and business development team, operating to promote the firm’s brand and reputation to your key markets and supporting a wide range of projects.


Key Responsibilities

Responsible for all marketing and communications support for investment products and services via the intermediary and direct channels. Including the planning, set up, delivery and optimisation of:

  • Collateral development and management, including pitches and presentations

  • Online and offline campaigns, including regular email communications and product launches

  • Website and other digital content

  • Multimedia content production, including video (with an external agency).

  • Gather and analyse data to distil into relevant insights and recommendations, as well as report performance to senior management.

  • Ability to write/produce content to support investment services and distribution to external advisers.

  • Ability to manage a budget and report on the effectiveness of spend in line with target ROI.

  • Point of contact for key platforms and networks – sending monthly data or investment commentary.


Regulatory Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate an understanding of and compliance with regulatory framework.


Skills & Experience

  • Experience in an asset management or wealth management marketing environment, either client or agency side.

  • Essential - a degree or relative qualification in marketing or a related discipline. Preferable - studying towards or has completed the IMC (or similar) qualifications.

  • Understanding of client-centred businesses and how to build and establish relationships direct and via intermediary/ introducer contacts.

  • Can do attitude and thrives working as part of a high performance team. The role is broad so will suit someone who enjoys multi-tasking and prioritising while getting exposure to lots of different areas of marketing.

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills.

  • Experience in digital marketing or a keen interest to learn more, including the desire to stay up to date and take advantage of emerging technology and trends.

  • Ability to write briefs that allow suppliers to explore opportunities and deliver innovative and effective solutions.

  • Attention to detail to ensure accuracy when managing online content, presentations and collateral.

  • Understanding of SharePoint 2013 and Dotmailer (or other similar email marketing system) would be a bonus, but not essential, but has a willingness to learn.

  • An understanding of working in a regulated environment; pre-empting legal and compliance requirements, time management that allows for compliance and businesses sign off and the ability to intelligently challenge where necessary
