Job Description

The role holder is responsible for producing investment and thought leadership communications to promote the brand, funds and strategies working proactively with asset management, client affairs, sales and compliance.

The individual provides centralised editorial oversight and guidance, ensuring all communications are developed in line with the Firm’s communications strategy and objectives.

 

Responsibilities

Relationship building and proactive planning

  • Build profile and maintain relationships with client facing teams and BJSS through regular attendance at meetings; sharing knowledge and insight of market events, trends and news to inform editorial discussions and content development.

  • Proactively lead on editorial planning, working with stakeholders to agree areas of focus and deliverables.

Investment writing and content development

  • Develop and produce corporate and brand high level messaging for PR and marketing communications.

  • Produce macro, economic and thought leadership content to support ongoing client communications, press, publications and digital channels.

Editorial oversight and support

  • Ensure consistent application of all editorial standards and practices for content created.

  • Provide oversight and guidance to the business on content development including fund manager commentaries, content for collateral and digital.

Fund reporting

  • Build a high level of knowledge and understanding of company funds and strategies.

  • Work closely with asset management to write and edit investment commentaries on a monthly and quarterly basis.

Financial promotions and compliance

  • Ensure all communications adhere to the financial promotions and media approvals processes.

 

Skills & Experience

  • 3-5 years’ experience in a related role.

  • Strong experience of creating content for different audiences and formats: PR, publications, long-form thematic articles, investment commentary, digital formats

  • Strong editing skills and attention to detail

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and stakeholder management

  • Analytical and numerical skills

  • Ability to take initiative, implement new ideas

  • Keep abreast of competition and market trends

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent

  • IMC qualified

 

KPI’s

  • Delivers high quality investment content to agreed timescales

  • All communications adhere to the financial promotions and / or media approval policies and are in line with the Firm’s editorial house style

  • Proactively works with stakeholders to plan, agree and deliver content to support communications objectives
