Seeking: HR Generalist to join an innovative investment firm specialising in cryptocurrency.


About The Role

The HR Generalist - UK & Ireland, plays a vital role at by owning and supporting the global teams on local onboarding and offboarding, benefits practises and offerings, immigration and visa processes, HRIS and vendor management, performance management, manager coaching and local policy creation and adoption. You’ll work closely with the People Ops team to create a powerful, engaging, and meaningful experience for all employees while being local support for people queries in the UK, Ireland and Japan offices. This role is a 9-month contract.


Key Responsibilities

  • Work with relevant stakeholders (GM, managers, people team) to help drive people programs and strategies that enhance the company culture -- including performance management, talent development & feedback, employee engagement & retention, and internal communications

  • Identify and advise leaders on the development needs of their teams and function

  • Approach people matters with an eye toward compliance and reducing risks

  • Help embed newly created HR policies in Ireland and U.K.

  • Support HQ with the build out of local Japan employee policies

  • Support the PeopleOps team with global projects

  • Manage employee relation issues with internal employment counsel

  • Analyze trends & use engagement survey data to develop actions and influence change

  • Build strong relationships across the global business


Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years experience as an HR Generalist in UK/Ireland

  • Experience in startup culture - comfort with ambiguity and non-stop problem solving, building, and action.

  • Understand core HR and full employee life cycle - able to run operational processes, whilst understanding the bigger picture

  • Extremely detail-oriented - you can’t sleep at night if loose ends haven’t been tied off

  • Strong interest in process improvement - you love finding ways to make processes more efficient and streamlined

  • Proficient with the Google Suite -- Mail, Sheets, and Docs

  • Impeccable judgment and ability to handle confidential information  

  • Creative, innovative, passionate

  • Excellent communication skills, ability to get necessary information across concisely
