About The Role

The Financial Services (FS) Talent team designs and delivers the Talent Strategy to over 4,000 people across the UK.

We are looking to recruit a HR Business Analyst and Reward Project Manager to support the team’s capacity and capability in providing people data, reporting and insights to support the delivery of our business strategy, as well as project manage the annual salary review.

You will work closely with the FS HR Business Partners and the business but will also be the key liaison between the FS Talent Team and the specialised centralised functions including the reward team and the management information teams.  The individual will also assist the FS Talent Team to implement the annual salary review which is aligned to the reward strategy and objectives of the EMEIA FSO Region.

 

Key Responsibilities

Analysis and Reporting

  • Support the FS Talent Team to identify business challenges and use data analysis to help influence changes to operations and processes.

  • Analysis of data and reports for stakeholders – analysis of different data points to provide insights and highlight areas of opportunity and risk

  • Support the FS Talent team to streamline existing reports and generate efficiency in current reporting processes, measures and systems

  • Preparation of regular reports on a monthly/quarterly basis

  • Communicate findings to senior management via formal presentations

  • Preparation of high quality and accurate datasets for further processing and analysis of outputs

  • Collaborate with the relevant teams to improve the quality and efficiency of dataset collection

  • Provide timely response to ad-hoc data/analysis requests, according to business priorities;

  • Continuously improve the analysis and reporting approach through gathering feedback from report end-users

  • Support other processes / projects as needed

  • Build relationships with multiple stakeholders

  • Salary Review project planning and management:

    • Under the guidance of the Senior HR Business Consultant who is co-ordinating the overall review, plan and project manage the end-to-end year-end salary review process for FS in the UK.

  • Liaise with the various stakeholders to plan and deliver the review within the required timeframe

  • Salary Review budget and modelling: liaise with the Finance and Operations teams throughout the modelling and budgeting process, to support the business and the HR Business Consultants (“HRBCs”) on the formulation of the pay proposal, provide analysis for Service Line and for FSO UK as a whole.

  • Bonus schemes :

    • Calculate bonus payments - model budget, establish principles based on affordability and calculate payments

    • Calculate Director and Executive Director bonus payments- model budget and individual Service Line split and, support HRBCs in modelling bonus payments for Service Line

    • Analysis & reporting - Throughout salary planning support HRBCs in any analysis required - e.g. monitoring of budget, equal pay analysis, providing analysis for Service

 

Skills & Experience

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high quality output;

  • Highly numerate and comfortable with numerical data, analysis etc;

  • Strong project management and time management skills;

  • Good presentation skills – ability to build summary reports (e.g. in PowerPoint)

  • Self-driven, can work autonomously with a proven work ethic;

  • Team player who enjoys working with people from different backgrounds and disciplines;

  • Proactive professional who can deliver an exceptional service to their clients;

  • Hard working, be able to work under pressure and sometimes on challenging timescales

  • Relationship builder;

  • HR systems knowledge (PeopleSoft); Flexible.

  • Extremely strong Excel skills (e.g. v-lookups, pivot tables, report creation);

  • Able to establish credibility quickly and present information effectively both orally and in writing

  • The ability to apply judgment to data and recognise how it relates to the Talent teams initiatives and programmes writing with senior stakeholders;

  • Strong analytical skills – a methodical, problem solving mind-set, creativity and intellectual curiosity;

  • Proven experience of managing projects that will allow you to deliver successfully what is expected of this role;

  • Knowledge and experience of being involved in a salary review process is desirable;
