About The Role

This is a new opportunity to join Invesco as a Global Performance Reporting Analyst II based in our EMEA Headquarters in Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire.

This is a critical role operating under limited supervision, partnering directly with business units to build investment performance, risk and analytics interactive dashboards and complex reports. Calculates and sources statistics from internal or third party applications. Business owner of IT-supported databases and dashboards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Consult with stakeholders to understand investment oversight reporting requirements and design/obtain consensus on solution.

  • Leverage tools including R, SQL, Python or Excel VBA to efficiently source and calculate statistics. Research and evaluate potential data sources for relevance, accuracy and comprehensiveness.

  • Build interactive dashboards and complex static investment oversight reports using visualization tools such as Power BI, SSRS, Oracle OBIEE, Crystal Reports or Excel that are insightful, clear and tailored per audience.

  • Implement enhancements and ongoing maintenance of updating data, adding new funds/benchmarks, etc.

  • Evaluate output to ensure meets stakeholder requirements. Analyze and summarize key findings.

  • Ensure work product is relevant, comprehensive, accurate and timely.

  • Serve as business owner of IT-supported databases or applications. Identify, prioritize and communicates enhancements. Test and troubleshoot issues. Seek opportunities to further leverage on other projects.

  • Build and maintain local databases for information not in IT-supported repositories as needed. Identify and capitalize on opportunities to transition to IT-supported databases.

  • Actively participate on project workstreams and responsible for timely and comprehensive completion. Provide updates to Steering and Operating Committees as required.

  • Develop working knowledge of product lines globally

  • Ensure all activities are in line with the firm’s Conduct principles


Skills & Experience

  • Previous work experience in an investment performance, risk, analytics or similar role in the financial services industry.

  • Significant experience with investment performance tools such as Eagle, Morningstar Direct, Lipper LIM/LANA, RiskMetrics and/or BlackRock Aladdin.

  • Excellent analytical skills with a strong understanding of investment industry performance metrics.

  • Highly developed skills extracting/wrangling data and calculating statistics using tools such as R, SQL, Python, Access and/or Excel VBA.

  • Deep experience building interactive visualization dashboards and complex static reports that are insightful yet concise leveraging Power BI, SSRS, Oracle OBIEE, Crystal Reports and/or Excel.

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely with varied audiences including Investments, Risk, IT and levels within the organization, both verbally and in writing.

  • Developed project management skills, with the ability to manage several projects simultaneously. Ability to meet demanding deadlines and strong attention to detail.

  • Strong diplomacy skills and ability to foster relationships with cross-functional and cross-regional project teams both in-person and remotely.

Education & Qualifications

  • Completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field required.

  • MBA highly useful.

  • Pursuance of CFA highly useful.
