About The Role

GIPS Performance Analyst with experience of performance measurement and GIPS management and oversight.  The individual will be primarily responsible for: a) Population of the firm's GIPS database (Statpro) on a monthly basis with portfolio and benchmark data; b) Construction, maintenance and oversight of all composites; c) Provide GIPS support, consultancy and reporting to all internal clients.  The individual will also be responsible for ensuring all external consultant database are accurate and up to date with regards to the firm's performance track records.  The individual will also work closely with the firm's external performance measurement provider to ensure daily/monthly performance results are accurate and in-line with our internal systems.  


Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Head of Performance Measurement  in meeting overall functional objectives by delivering: 


GIPS/Performance Reporting

  • Update Statpro with data necessary for the GIPS Composites – Fund/Benchmark returns, AUM and FX Rates;

  • Ensure all accounts are assigned to correct composites and that all composite disclosures are accurate and up to date;

  • Provide accurate and timely responses to request for GIPS composite results and related statistical information from internal clients such as Sales, RFP and Investment Management Teams;

  • Work closely with investment management team in the review and sign-off of GIPS composites on a Quarterly and Annual basis;

  • Be seen as the GIPS SME and provide advice and consultancy to the business with regards to request for performance track records for use in RFP or Sales materials; 

  • Assist in the on-going development and maintenance of GIPS Policies & Procedures; 

  • Work with PWC in the annual GIPS Verification

  • Population of performance data to external consultant database utilising GIPS compliant results where possible

  • Population of fund allocation data to external consultant databases

  • Analysis and reporting of consultant database results and peer group review to Sales and Marketing team


Develop and Enhance Performance Processes

  • Build strong working relations with investment managers and business support team across different offices/regions;

  • Work closely with our external third party providers to ensure accurate and timely daily/monthly performance data

  • Partnership with the firm's IT team in the ongoing development of the Statpro infrastructure to ensure the loading and review of data is carried out in an accurate and efficient manner;

  • Establish and document defined processes, procedures, quality standards, quality thresholds and system conventions.


Other Projects

  • Assist in the review of performance results verifying internally calculated performance and P&L versus third party providers;

  • Assist in other projects as assigned.



Adhere to and understand reputational risks to the Company and the client resulting from marketing initiatives or successful conclusion of transactions.

Liaise with market counterparties and have an active dialogue with key clients.

Legal and Regulatory Responsibilities

  • Comply with all applicable legal, regulatory and internal Compliance requirements, including, but not limited to, the Compliance manual and Compliance policies and procedures as issued from time to time:  Financial Security requirements, including but not limited to, the prevention of Financial Crime and Fraud including reporting obligations to the Money Laundering Reporting Officer.

  • Maintain appropriate knowledge to ensure to be fully qualified to undertake the role.  Complete all mandatory training as required to attain and maintain competence.


Person Specification


  • Degree, followed by appropriate relevant working experience 

  • Proven experience in Performance Measurement team with focus on GIPS compliance

  • Strong written and verbal communication

  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task

  • Ability to work independently and within a team

  • Hands on approach, results focused, with the energy and commitment to drive delivery

  • Strong interpersonal and social skills

  • Highly organised and detail oriented

  • Ability to handle high pressure and strict timelines

  • Ability to handle confidential material with utmost discretion

  • A good understanding of the Global Investment Performance Standards(GIPS)

  • Working knowledge of funds and mandate performance calculations 

  • Knowledge of benchmark construction processes 

  • Working knowledge of GIPS composite tools and databases



  • Certificate in Investment Performance Measurement (CIPM), or CFA

  • Working knowledge of Statpro

  • Working knowledge of performance systems

  • Experience of consultant databases input desirable 

  • Experience of working with external performance measurement providers

  • Understanding of fund and investment accounting

  • Fluency in French
