Job Description

Seeking: ESG Verification Analyst to join a London based investment oversight firm.

 

The company is an award-winning, independent investment fund oversight business, developing solutions widely recognised as industry-leading. As of January 2019, they act for investment funds with over $40bn of underlying assets and this continued to grow. The company believe’s a key area of this growth lies in the provision of services for investment firms that incorporate environmental, social and governance (ESG) considerations into their businesses. As a result, they are building an industry-leading ESG verification and oversight team, requiring an ESG Verification Analyst role based at their HQ in the City of London. The successful applicant will report directly to the Head of ESG Services and be responsible for assisting with the development and implementation of this new service offering.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and integration of the firm’s service offering into the wider business

  • Assist in the technical implementation of ESG oversight and monitoring software with dedicated software developers

  • Assist the Head of ESG Services in preparation of client on-boarding, meetings and presentations

  • Perform day-to-day duties and tasks to ensure smooth running and development of company services

  • Perform periodic ESG asset allocation and compliance monitoring of client portfolios

  • Undertake client visits to review ESG working policies and procedures

  • Act as client representative of services for clients and new business prospects

 

Skills & Experience

  • Degree educated at 2:1 or above within an industry-relevant field (Management, Finance or ESG major)

  • 1 – 2 years’ relevant financial services experience (experience with ESG strategies or policies would be beneficial, but not necessary for consideration for the role)

  • Genuine and demonstrable interest in Financial Services, Investment Funds and ESG

  • Excellent numeracy, presentation and written skills

  • Articulate, presentable and punctual
