About The Role

Advisory is the new name that emerges from what was called ‘risk.’ It is a form of consulting that is essentially strategic. In other words, it is able to engage ends, ways and means in support of our clients’ reputations and privacy.

The Advisory group will provides clients with ten reputation and privacy-focussed skills:

  • Structured problem solving
  • Strategy development
  • Crisis management
  • Project management
  • Crisis and contingency planning
  • Threat analysis
  • Risk analysis
  • Leadership advice
  • The ability to exploit intelligence
  • Understanding of organisational culture and structure

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse client issues and propose innovative solutions to reputation and privacy problems;
  • Provide strategic advice to CEOs, boards, UBOs, HNWIs and successful people in the public eye;
  • Project manage complex, global matters with multiple stakeholders and service providers;
  • Apply management consulting approaches to reputation and privacy challenges;
  • Lead multi-disciplinary teams also made up of Legal, Intelligence & Cyber experts;
  • Lead the work allocation process;
  • Deliver specific reputation advice to clients using our proprietary reputation consulting platforms;
  • Provide risk and privacy protection plans for clients;
  • Lead the provision of Global Reputation Strategies;
  • Support business development activities via our consultative selling approach;
  • Contribute to thought-leadership by writing articles and presenting at events;
  • Product and service development;
  • Perform line management/people management responsibilities).

 

Background / Experiance

You will have over 10 years experience in one of the following specialisms:

  • Crisis management;
  • Risk and issue management;
  • Scenario and contingency planning - with live situation experience rather than a purely desk based / thoretical back ground;
  • Strong commercial awareness

The following would be beneficial:

  • Deal or financial environment awareness; 
  • Media or social media experience;
  • Legal experience;
  • Knowledge of business intelligence operations;
  • Regulatory experience;
  • An MBA would b beneficial but not essential;
  • Additional languages.

The majority of your experience will consist of:  

  • Previous consulting experience (e.g. Big 4 or Strategy Consulting); or
  • Relevant experience e.g. chief of staff to a HNWI, strategic advisor, special advisor, senior leader in large organisation, business founder/owner or entrepreneur, finance or dynamic middle management in a large corporation;
  • Essential Skills

 All of these are required:

  • Obvious ability to use foresight and insight;
  • Confident, articulate, well-informed and aware;
  • Excellent communicator, orally and in writing;
  • Good at using detailed intelligence and information to support recommendations;
  • Familiar with providing direct, balanced and thoughtful advice, more than options, to clients;
  • Able to operate without certainty and comfortable with ambiguity – this is a growing team in a pioneering specialism;
  • Attracted by the opportunity to create something new and in their own image;
  • Happy dealing with extremely tight deadlines, potentially in crises or in hostile environments;
  • Entrepreneurial approach and aggressively commercial;
  • Competent in managing projects, tasks, people and deadlines.
