Job Description

Our client is seeking a CRD Business Analyst Contractor to join their independent investment management company.

 

About The Role

To join the Technology Derivatives Team to provide CRD and derivative expertise into the Multi Asset Investment Architecture II project. This is a programme of work delivering efficiencies and automation to the Multi Asset team particularly around order management

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver CRD derivative functionality/capability against the MA IA II pipeline of work 

  • Delivering increased derivative functionality and capability for the fund managers/traders on CRD

  • OMS configuration (user, group, user defined fields, codes and descriptions, layouts, queries, workflow rules, settlement defaults, instrument defaults, sys parameters etc.).

  • Work with the developers of data feeds and external applications to integrate with CRD APIs to support business requirements that cannot be supported directly in CRD

  • Manage client expectation and delivery of solutions methodically and effectively

  • Meeting with business users to understand and document business processes/workflows and issues

  • Follow the internal project methodology and standards to deliver suitable technical solutions in a timely and professional fashion

 

Skills & Experience

  • At least 10+ years previous experience in using or supporting CRD, including use of order entry APIs

  • Practical experience of reading and writing SQL statements

  • At least 5+ years exposure to CRD’s derivative instrument workflows(Cleared, OTC & ETD)

  • Knowledge / experience of working in an Agile environment

  • Ability to carry out requirement gathering and data analysis

  • Familiarity with the Investment industry

  • Good understanding of the full derivative workflow (Cleared, OTC, ETD)

  • Emphasis on front office and order management but good knowledge of middle and back office

  • Familiarity with change and release management process

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths or Economics related subject desirable but not essential

  • Ability and desire to dig deep into issues to get the information needed to make informed decisions

  • Must be a team player

  • Must have strong problem solving capabilities with an analytical and methodical approach

  • Must demonstrate a strong customer focused attitude and understand the fundamentals of customer service

  • Must have ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing

  • Good inter-personal skills combined with willingness to listen to users, ability to analyse requirements / problems and to propose innovative but workable solutions

  • Possess a good understanding of the business drivers within an investment services company

  • Have good organization and planning skills

  • Be able to work under pressure and multi-task
