We are looking to hear from compliance professionals to join a global provider of cloud based payment solutions.

 

About The Role

The Compliance department is looking for a talented Compliance Shared Services Manager to join the team. While the company also have an office based in New York, the role will join the team at the company’s HQ in London.

The role of the Compliance Manager will be to own the day-to-day running of the compliance ops teams. The company is looking for someone who is self-driven, highly analytical, a natural leader able to motivate and inspire team members to excel. The Compliance Manager will report into the Head of Compliance Operations.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the day to day running of the Compliance Operations functions including onboarding and transaction monitoring

  • Coach and actively develop the Compliance Analysts

  • Be responsible to achieve SLA’s while continuously reviewing and adjusting targets where required

  • Proactively identify trends and potential issues in services and resolve before any disruption occurs

  • Be the owner of all procedures, processes and training material making sure they are up to date and relevant

  • Be the escalation point for complex compliance queries and review high risk accounts

  • Work closely with the Compliance Operations Manager and Head of Compliance Operations to identify and implement improvements to the process as well as systems used

  • Work closely with the wider organisation and educate them on compliance processes and procedures

  • Work cross-departmental to proactively identify and resolve compliance queries

  • Represent compliance when required in cross departmental projects.

 

Skills & Experience

  • 3-5 years’ experience in a managerial role preferably within a startup environment

  • In-depth knowledge of AML, Sanctions,Terrorist financing and ABC legislation/laws

  • Track record of strong performance meeting and exceeding SLA’s and growing analyst teams

  • Be a leader who can motivate and inspire teams to excel

  • A deep desire to solve real problems and see the beauty of data and structure and how important these are to understand a problem and identify solutions

  • Have exceptional organisational skills and pay attention to detail

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence others

  • Be adept at conducting 80/20 analysis, drawing out business insights and presenting findings and recommendations persuasively

  • Ability to prioritise work by taking the impact and scale of the work into consideration, as well as manage time effectively to meet deadlines

  • Entrepreneurial mindset and a willingness to get your hands dirty

  • Solid Excel and PowerPoint skills

  • Experience within the FinTech industry
