Job Description

Business Development Specialist sought for a leading, global investigations firm. The firm operates out of 12 offices around the world, servicing corporations, banks, law firms, non-profits and individuals. 


About The Role

The successful candidate is an articulate, organized, persuasive, hard-working sales person. The role will require being able to get through gatekeepers, initiate conversations to establish needs, recommend the fitting solutions and set qualified follow-up calls and meetings. The right person will meet and exceed goals for making calls, setting up appointments and generating opportunities. This position is based in the firm's Hong Kong office but may require regional travel.


Key Responsibilities

  • Generate leads for new business

  • Work in all aspects of the sales cycle: prospecting, qualifying, presenting and closing business

  • Cultivate leads through direct outreach, communicating value propositions for the potential client and following up in a timely manner

  • Develop business leads via phone and email to introduce solutions and identify appropriate buyers within the target group

  • Generate high-quality leads through cold calling and online prospecting; generate new customer leads, track follow up conversations and nurture long term conversions

  • Conduct account mapping, online research and contact discovery for prospects and target accounts, proactively based on phone conversations

  • Establish and maintain relationships with gatekeepers and decision makers

  • Manage data for new and prospective clients, ensuring all communication are logged, information is accurate, and sent/received documents attached

  • Track lead, opportunity and account in on a daily basis


Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 1-3 years of Business Development experience preferred, or BD aptitude

  • Highly motivated, with excellent ability to meet and /or exceed determined sales and activity quotas

  • Strong prospecting skills with an energetic phone presence

  • Outstanding follow up with extreme attention to detail

  • Professional business writing, communication, phone and presentation skills

  • Ability to work independently as well as contribute in a team environment

  • Experience with CRM Software preferred (e.g Salesforce)
