Our client, an innovative London based professional services firm is seeking to appoint a Business Contracts Manager.


About The Role

Reporting to the Head of Business Control (WBS), key responsibility is to work with both the business and legal counsel to agree all Client/Supplier contracts considering Business (WBS), Compliance and Legal implications. Additional responsibilities will be the ongoing review of Operational Controls within WBS and supporting all Regulatory Reporting.


Accountabilities: Client Agreements, WBS Service Provider Agreements, Fund Manager Agreements, Audit Management, Compliance & Risk Management.


Key Responsibilities

  • To work with business stakeholders and Legal to support all contractual negotiations from inception to signing

  • To work with Legal to ensure all contracts (Client & Service Provider) are up to date and fit for purpose

  • To build relationships with Fund Managers

  • To provide oversight to key suppliers

  • To ensure Fund Manager agreements are in place and maintained as appropriate

  • To work with the Head of Business Control to provide oversight of the Operational and Dealing Team.

  • To liaise with Head of WBS, Risk, Business Approval Committee and COO to obtain sign-off of negotiated agreements

  • Assist in the Regulatory reporting of WBS, including, but not limited to, Transaction Reporting, ISA COMM 100, FATCA, 1042, Other Interest, CTC's & Statements and Valuations

  • To sustain a current and up-to-date understanding of current and proposed regulatory changes which impact the Operations function and client/supplier agreements

  • To build effective relationships with key stakeholders within the business including WBS management team and Winterflood Securities Legal team

  • Manage own workload and meet deadlines determined across the department


Learning & Development

  • To complete all regulatory training, as considered mandatory by the Company

  • To maintain one's own commitment to CPD in respect of the role's core responsibilities


Systems & Controls

  • To adhere to the internal governance, systems & controls, exchange rules and Financial Conduct Authority and the Company's compliance manual, staff handbook and IT security manual

  • To possess a thorough up-to-date understanding of all regulatory requirements, procedures and issues impacting the division; including but not limited to RDR, Transaction Reporting, Complaints, TCF, CASS, KYC, AML, new legislation, Company policies and products in order to ensure WBS conducts its activities in accordance with the current regulatory requirements

  • To maintain an awareness of the risks impacting WBS, including but not limited to Product, Financial and Reputational risk, working with the Company risk department, where appropriate, to help limit said risks


Communications & External Relations

  • To represent the Company and communicate effectively with WBS & WINS stakeholders, clients, employees, regulators, legal authorities, professional associations and other relevant stakeholders



  • Certificate in Investment Operations to be obtained prior to or within 2.5 years of commencement in role
