Job Description

B2B Sales Director sought on behalf of a London based asset management firm.

 

Key Responsibilities

As part of the Financial Education team:

  • Be responsible for winning new B2B target accounts and implementing financial education, advice and investment services to drive new private client leads

  • Develop own new business pipeline from networks, conference and event attendance, relationships with relevant firms, partnerships and associations

  • Ensure smooth on boarding for new corporate clients and the implementation of financial education programmes

  • Be responsible for managing existing B2B clients, maintain quality services and introducing relevant new services to drive new private client leads

  • Work collaboratively with FES sales colleagues to support the team in meeting its sales targets and to share experience, unique learnings and best practice

  • Raise the company profile via thought leadership, social media, event attendance, and speaker opportunities at relevant industry, partnership and association events

  • Identify opportunities for proposition enhancement/ development and new target markets/ accounts to ensure FES services retain competitive advantage

  • Maintain awareness of FES industry, market developments and key competitor activity to inform service development and sales and marketing activity

  • Be responsible for own activity including number of prospect and client meetings, proposals, pipeline management, seminar bookings, new private client leads, report production.

 

To clearly understand and be able to articulate the financial education proposition including advice and investment services suitable for B2B accounts and their employees:

Responsible for the application of FES corporate vision, strategy and plans

  • Act as an ambassadorial leader, promoting our culture and brand.

 

Regulatory responsibilities

  • As a senior manager you must accept responsibility for and demonstrate an understanding of the regulatory aspects and framework of the FCA.  You must demonstrate adherence to compliance procedures and protocols delivering good conduct risk and act in accordance with regulatory standards, compliance policies and processes ensuring good client outcomes.

 

FES Director

Following agreed processes and utilising company systems:

  • Develop contact strategy for target accounts and organisations

  • Manage contact strategy with existing clients

  • Make appointments for meetings with targets and clients in line with contact strategies

  • Prepare proposals, respond to RFPs, deliver pitches to targets and clients

  • Develop and manage own new business pipeline from networks, conference and event attendance, relationships with relevant firms, partnerships and associations

  • Sell relevant financial education, advice and investment services to prospects and clients

  • Ensure smooth on boarding for new clients and new financial education programmes

  • Book seminars, clinics and adviser 121s and implement financial education programmes

  • Ensure presentation suite content is up to date and  engaging for client programmes

  • Monitor and manage financial education programme take-up and take action to add/ cancel events for maximum event efficiency and effectiveness

  • Work with colleagues to utilise marketing and communications toolkit including the online hub to drive maximum employee engagement

  • Review employee, employer and presenter feedback and adjust programmes as needed

  • Work with advice colleagues to monitor the quality and effectiveness of programmes in driving target private client leads

  • Prepare summary event reviews and periodic account review reports for existing clients in line with contact strategies

  • Maintain up to date, accurate and complete contact records for targets and clients including fact finds, details of pensions and benefits

  • Prepare activity and performance reports for management, monthly, annually and as otherwise required

  • Attend periodic 121 performance review meetings with manger

  • Attend and contribute to team meetings

  • Work collaboratively with FES sales colleagues to support the team in meeting its sales targets and to share experience, unique learnings and best practice

  • Raise the company profile via thought leadership, social media, event attendance, and speaker opportunities at relevant industry, partnership and association events

  • Take responsibility for developing relevant knowledge and skills necessary to enhance role performance.

 

General

As a senior manager:

  • Contribute to the development of relevant policies and actively support their implementation

  • Ensure communication and follow up of requirements, where applicable

  • Contribute to the implementation of initiatives

  • Identify opportunities for proposition enhancement/ development and new target markets/ accounts to ensure FES services retain competitive advantage

  • Maintain awareness of FES industry, market developments and key competitor activity to inform service development and sales and marketing activity.

 

Person Specification

  • Ensures that their own level of professional development is in line with that expected by the company, clients and peers

  • Has significant, suitable industry experience. This is an unregulated role and specific qualifications are not required.  Some professional qualifications may be beneficial in terms of credibility, understanding and appropriate networks eg financial advice, pension advice, pension specialist, legal/ accountancy
