Our headhunting methodology

The uncompromising mission of our recruitment teams is to attract and attain the best possible candidate for any given position, not just the best of whom happens to be actively looking. Our team are trained in the traditional art of headhunting in order to ensure the full talent pool is captured when we take a brief into the market. Our approach guarantees access to passive candidates who are difficult to unearth with direct sourcing methods.

    We'll start by working with you on a full hiring needs assessment, helping you to create a job description if you haven't already drafted one. If you've already put something together, we'll work through this and make sure that you've captured everything that is important to the hiring stakeholders.

    Our recruiters will give you a view on the market, factors to consider and feedback from an early stage. We'll discuss the elements 'beyond the job spec' such as your company culture, the reasons why a candidate may want to join your organisation and the goals for the first year of employment. We will perfect the 'message to the market' that represents your brand and your requirements.

    We'll agree on a strategy for the hiring project along with defining time-frames, interview formats and our recommended approach to the search.

    We will guide you through each interview stage, helping you to prepare and arming you with the information we believe will give you the best likelihood of success.

    Lawson Chase will deliver a shortlist of vetted candidates that we believe represents the upper quartile of the interested talent pool for your consideration, taking into account the technical requirements, your company culture and the soft skills that have been identified by you as being important to the team.

    We will commence the interview stages as previously agreed. Lawson Chase will provide feedback from the candidates you have met at each stage and will ask for this to be reciprocated from you. We will work in partnership with you at every juncture, managing candidate expectations and ensuring candidates have a positive experience.

    When the preferred candidate has been identified, we will work closely with you to deliver the offer to a successful close.

    Our permanent contingency service offers a full bodied recruitment service with a 'payment upon results' fee structure - you only pay a finders fee if one of our candidates is offered and accepts a position with you. This approach is best utilised with mid-level hires or when you may have already started working with other recruitment providers.
